Part I: the difference between the open & closed colonic systems
Open system colonics are superior to the closed system for frequent users because of their less invasive bells & whistles: a smaller insertion that doesn’t hold your sphincter muscle open for 45 minutes (literally stretching & compromising your sphincter muscle), no therapist interfering with their ideas or energy, and the gentle flow rate of an enema. The open system allows the user to bear down & push, which re-syncs the gut brain axis. Open systems exercise the sphincter muscle gently as you clench (like doing a kegel with your bottom), resisting the urge to go & they tone the smooth muscles of the colon as you coordinate pushing, which in turn stimulates peristalsis. Some people say they experience more “cramps” with an open system; this is proof that open systems are strengthening & toning your bowel, making you a more efficient eliminator when you leave. Those cramps mean you’ve stimulated your own peristalsis. What a gift to your enteric nervous system 💝
The closed system is akin to a grandma shoving a dildo sized phallic object inside your ass and asking you to go against every instinct in your body and NOT push (lest the dildo sized hose come flying out your bum). This practice of dissociating from the natural urge to go & not partaking in your own healing is counterintuitive for anyone with constipation. It creates an illusion of dependence on the therapist, whose only real job in this scenario is to fill you up with ungodly amounts of water until you look and feel like you’re about to pop. Then they perform their one true job: opening a valve when you can’t take it anymore so you can evacuate. If this is your idea of an “expert”, read no further & best wishes to you with whoever’s grandma you work with.
Or! You can have privacy & safety as you access a less invasive system that 99% of users say, “feels more natural”. No need to be freshly waxed or showered after the gym - roll on in to an open system & have complete privacy. Anyone can learn how to use an open system effectively. To think that a beginner should use a more invasive & less comfortable (& I’d argue less effective) system because they’re, “with someone” is laughable. Open systems are easy & low stress. For those of us with a billionaire wellness routine, we’re going to an open system every time. Just got off the plane? Notice a cold coming on? First day of your cycle? Need a flat stomach for a shoot? Galla tomorrow? You had a skin eruption i.e. eczema, psoriasis, acne & you know it’s time to clean your gut? Open systems allow frequent users easy access & an hour of chill.
In this video I show you examples of the closed system speculum vs the open system nozzle. We start to get into concepts of how to use colonics to truly heal your gut. With so much care for you & passion for what I do, I wish you well as you start to dive into learning more about colon therapy ✌️❤️🔥💩
Note: As an I-ACT instructor, we take an oath of integrity to not speak disparagingly of either open or closed system. I’ve stopped training new therapists and because of this, I refuse to gate keep the truth that the open system is better for the majority of users (and definitely better for frequent users). For elderly people (80s & beyond) & for people with loss of integrity to their sphincter muscles, the closed system may work better for you. If you’re experiencing loss of control of your sphincter, a larger butt plug may be the answer. If you’ve got a tight sphincter muscle, keep it that way by using an open system!
